- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional for extra spice)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to create your own Smoky Paprika Shrimp Skewers:
- Prepare the Skewers:
- If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
- Marinate the Shrimp:
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat the Grill:
- Heat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 375°F (190°C).
- Skewer the Shrimp:
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
- Grill the Shrimp:
- Place the skewers on the preheated grill.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and have a nice char.
- Finish with Lemon:
- Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top for a burst of freshness.
