Scale

To create these delicious donuts, you’ll need a list of fresh and easily accessible ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need for both the donuts and the glaze:

For the Donuts:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Maple Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 12 tablespoons milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Follow these step-by-step instructions to bake the perfect Pumpkin Maple Glazed Donuts:

Making the Donuts:

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger until well combined.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Blend Ingredients: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake Donuts: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool Donuts: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Making the Maple Glaze:

  1. Prepare Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with additional milk if necessary.
  2. Glaze Donuts: Once the donuts are cooled, dip the top of each donut into the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the donuts back on the wire rack to set.
