Instructions
Follow these steps to create your cheddar-stuffed beef omelette:
Step 1: Prepare the Beef Filling
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until the beef is browned.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the beef filling from the heat and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Omelette Mixture
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Step 3: Cook the Omelette
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Once the butter has melted and is slightly bubbling, pour in half of the egg mixture.
- Tilt the skillet to ensure the egg covers the entire base in an even layer.
- Cook the egg for about 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to set.
Step 4: Add the Fillings
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on one side of the omelette.
- Add half of the beef filling on top of the cheese.
- Using a spatula, carefully fold the omelette over the filling to enclose it.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
Step 5: Serve
- Transfer the omelette to a plate and garnish with optional toppings like chopped chives, sliced avocado, or sour cream.
- Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients for the second omelette.
